All Things Fall Apart

Oknokwo and the five men that were imprisonment came to meeting. The District Commissioner began to speak about the war. Oknokwo and the five men had already planned to kill the District of Commissioner by taking him into the woods to kill him for all the pain that they had suffered. As the District of Commissioner begun to speak, some kind of turmoil was happening outside between the Nwoye and the white men. Everyone rushed outside except for the District of Commissioner and Oknokwo. Oknokwo hit the DC in the head and tied him up and took him to forest. While at the forest Oknokwo and the DC begin to argue. Even though Oknokwo had planned to kill the DC, the DC also had the same plan too. However, what Oknokwo had planned for the DC did not work. After the commotion was over everyone return back inside, when they came back inside. They noticed that the DC and Oknokwo had left. Everyone went to look for them, but no one could find them. The next morning, every started their search back up. They found Oknokwo stab to death, and the DC hanged himself for killing Oknokwo. The DC had committed a big sin because he killed someone and he committed suicide which was a sin against the Earth by taking his own life. Obierika, Okonkwo's greatest friend, asked that no one cut down the DC because it would be an offense against the earth for any of the clansmen to cut him down. So everyone left the DC hanging there to let the whole town see what he had done. Okonkwo was giving the proper burial by his family, friends and neighbors. Even though Oknokwo was killed everyone still thought of him being one of Umuofia's greatest men.

Why did Douglass marry a Black Woman When he Knew he Liked White Women

Here is my question: Why Did Frederick Douglass marry a black woman when he liked white women?

Research path? Yahoo - Typed in Why did Frederick Douglass marry Anna Murray and white women

I found out Anna, his wife, was a free woman of color who helped Douglass escape as a slave. She bore Douglass five children and provided him with a secure, loving home while he traveled the world with his message. Anna was unable to keep up with douglass interest. Douglass tried to teach Anna how to read, but she never learned. Since Anna wasn't keeping up with his interest he had an affair with Ottilie Assing, a white woman of German-Jewish descent, who would become his mistress for decades to come because she could satisfy his intellectual needs. I also found out that he married Anna because she was the color of his mother and that she was not smart enough to be on his level. After Anna died he then married Helen Pitts who was the color of his father because she had intellectuals skills and she traveled with him as well. Frederick douglass stated that his impartial because he married a black woman who was the color of his mother and a white woman who was the color of his father.

What did I Learn from commenting on three people blogs

As I began to read the three different people blogs I commented on, I never thought that they would have so many different perspective of the story from another character viewpoint. I found really all three blogs very intersting. All of them showed their creative side of how a story should be written from a different person perspective. I must say that all of them did a wonderful job on their blog. The one that really got my attention was the one from Gracie's viewpoint. I got my attention because the person stated that Gracie was the one that brougth her uncle and father back togther. Over all I found all the blogs exciting to read.

Sonny's Blues

Sonny's Blues in first person from Sonny's point of view
I am Sonny. I lived a different from my brother who is the narrator of the story "Sonny's Blues". I was arrested for selling and having ownership of herion. I got addicted to herion because I had so much hurt and unhappiness inside of me that I had no other way to express it. I was arrested and sent to jail. One day my brother decided to write me a letter while in jail. I believed he decied to write because of Gracie death which is his daughter. I was very surprised that my brother chose to write me because we haven't spoke in a while now. When I got out of jail, I went to live with my brother and his family. While I was there, I noticed that my brother kept an eye on me. He watched me to see if I had any signs of craving for drugs. I noticed that my brother was scared for me probably because he made a promise to mother that he would. What my brother didn't understand was; that he was trying to make me live my life the way he does. That's not going to work because I have my own desires as well, which lead me start playing the piano to express my true feelings. However, my brother did not like the fact that I wanted to play the piano. I remember one day I had went out somewhere, and when I return home my brother was looking out the window. When came inside the house, me and my brother begin to talk for a few minutes. I invitied my brother to come to the jazz club where I played at, so he could get a feel of what I enjoyed doing. My brother has never seen me perform before, and he never has met any of my friends. When we arrived at the jazz club, I could tell that my brother was very surprised at the welcome he recieved from my friends . When I got ready to perform, my friend, Creole, made me play a risky performance. It required me to put my all into it. As I began to play everyone surrounded me. I could here some people saying Amen at times as well. When I got finished playing, I was dripping wet because I had expressed my true feelings.

Sonny's Blues

Sonny's Blues written by James Baldwin was an intersting story. I enjoy reading the story because it kinda relates to everyday situtaions that a person might be experiencing in life. I beleive that it relates to everyday situations because many people have a family that has gone to jail for doing something that wasn't right. In this story, Sonny went to jail for selling drugs. It is very painful for the narrator to find out that his only brother is in jail for selling drugs. However the narrator is also going through things in life as well. The narrtor is only able to write or talk to his brother when his daughter died of polio. I believe that he writes to Sonny because Sonny probably is able to feel what he is feeling. The narrotor takes Sonny in to live with him and his family. While Sonny is there, he begins to express his feelings by playing the paino. To me it seems like the narrator does not want Sonny to play the paino because he wants Sonny to finds something else that he could do that does not relates to music. What the narrator does not understands is that this is the only way that Sonny is able to express his true feelings. At the end of the story, the narrotor goes with Sonny at the jazz club to watch him play. The narrotor is astonished with they way Sonny's friends welcome him. When Sonny is on the stage, his friend Creolo make him play a risky performance. In this performance it makes Sonny put everything he has into it. By making Sonny play a risky performance helps Sonny to put everything he has on the line. The difference between Sonny and the narrator is that at the end of the story, Sonny is able toe express what he had needed to. On the other hand the narrator keeps his emotins inside. I really did enjoy this story because it makes the narrator to apprecaite the music that his brother uses to calm down all the suffering that he is going through. It really should be base on a real story.

Forgerd By Fire

Forgerd By Fire was a wonderful book to read. I really have enjoy all the books by Sharon Draper. Ms. Draper makes all her books seem so real. I am glad that Jordan died at the end of the book because he was treating Gearld and Angel so badly. So I felt like what goes around comes right back around. I am also happy that Monique did gain some senses in her head because she was so blind. But Gearld and Angel was very strong through the process especially Gearld. I have the upmost respect for him. But Forgerd by fire was a wonderful book.
